Dino Babers switched between quarterbacks on Friday. Clayton Welch ran the offense for most of the second half.

Syracuse came into Friday’s matchup against Pittsburgh 3-3, coming off a crushing 16-10 loss to North Carolina State. Tommy DeVito struggled throughout and head coach Dino Babers fluctuated between DeVito and redshirt senior Clayton Welch. Welch took over the offense down the stretch, including a 94-yard touchdown to Taj Harris, but him and DeVito were sacked nine times. SU cut the lead to 27-20, but a first down from Pitt’s A.J. Davis ended the game.
